In order to get these out there before trading opens. All of the below have a majority vote from the BOD and will be updated in the rule book (along with others that we've implemented)
1) If a player is released during the season for a cap violation, and is of RFA age. The minimum contract length he will accept is a 3 year deal.
2) AHL Eligibility has risen with the ratings. Forwards/Dmen 70ov and lower CAN be sent to the farm. Goalies 73ov and lower can be sent to the farm.
3) For the layers who went to Europe/retired that were at the end of their contract, and are now UFA. We will have a posting system to determine who gets to stash them on their prospect list. Should the player return to the NHL, they will sign a 1 year deal with their rightsholder.
4) Olli Jokinen rule is scrapped. You MUST have a link showing the player at that position. Something saying he has played wing before is not enough, the site must list him at the position to switch him.
5) There will be no revenue sharing introduced. If you need funds, contact the commish office and we usually have tasks, write articles, trade for cash. Do what you have to.
6) Violating the salary floor will now result in fines. Starting at 500k for a 1st time violation, and increasing 250k each time.
7) Sponserships will be reintroduced this season and is another way to make cash for your squad.
Also in the interest of full disclosure, the BOD has approved a commish salary for Eric & myself of $4 million BRHL2 $ per season. We don't get paid to do tasks like we do everyone else, so we've decided to go this route rather than continually adding in cash flow to our team as we do tasks.
All of the above proposals were ones that were brought up by GMs in a discussion thread (well other than the commish salary and UFA Euro's), so thank you for your input.
