REMINDER - Trading

Trading will not open until after the dispersal draft (expect an announcement from Eric shortly regarding that.

As has been reitterated over and over. There is NO official trading before the trading period opens. We are not naive to think it doesn't occur (heck I have 2 deals ready). But there is NOTHING the league can, or will do if a teams pre-arranged deal falls through before trading opens.

As Eric earlier stated, we do not open trading to give the new GMs a fair chance to have trading opportunities, but just like in the NHL, we know it happens.

Obviously, it would be extremely bad etiquette, and damage the relationship of the intended parties, but this will not change, regardless of if a confirmation email is sent in. If trading isn't open, we delete the email and it will need to be resent when it opens.

Please consider this as you go about negotiating in good faith. Unfortunately, it happens pretty much every year where another GM changes his mind before trading opens, and it ends up in a crap fest. Under these circumstances, it truly is buyer beware.

Unfortunately, the crap fest commeth Bryce...  I already know of one GM who is breaking deals.  And wasting a lot of my time in the process.

Call me Brian Burke (and him Kevin Lowe), but I will never deal with that GM again.

Fair enough. That tends to happen, I don't know the specifics (nor do I really care to). But I get it. I know of at least 1 GM that won't deal with me (oh wait thats Eric cause I constantly ream him).
