nothing???????????? no one else likes the nhl or is interested with the movement today????????
WOW did redden get overpaid by NYR late in the day, TO me it clearly shows they are out of the Marian Hossa sweepstakes, which leaves boston and edmonton as the two possibility's in my mind..
with the big press conference booked for morning wouldnt bringing in the top UFA player be a nice way to say hello to the media as the teams new owner???
"Various sources (2 in Canada, 1 in America, and one actually in Europe) are telling me that the meeting with the Oilers and Hossa's Agent Ritch Winter went very well. Rumoured deal in the 8-9 years 70-80 million range. I have also received more confirmation that the Oilers will look to Jagr if Hossa decides to go elsewhere. The other teams in on Hossa I am told are Pitt, Montreal, and Minnesota."
Lowe did a hell of a job and really improved the Oilers.
Stoll Greene Torres and Pitkanen 4 Visnovsky Brule and Cole
On top of that they look like the front runners for Hossa. Over the last year I've thought Lowe was an idiot more than once but this week he has totally redeemed himself.
Mean while my Bruins over-pay for Ryder....... oh well it could have been Finger Striet or Commodore.....some Gm's are crazy. Atleast the Ryder deal is only 3 years.
Only a couple good ones today:
Stuart in Detroit Raycroft is good value for Colorado.
I think the Lightning are going to be a lottery pick next season. All that forward fire-power, and noone to play defense, infront of an unproven Smith and a washed-up Kolzig (3.15GAA since the lockout). Plus, a coach who had a losing record, who hasn't coached in over a decade, and never was a "systems coach" back when you could get away with that.
I think Chicago is the winners of Free Agency so far, picking up Huet and Campbell.

Ok, let me change that to Detroit are the winners in Free agency.

the blackhawks by far.. is not the best doing at free agency.. yes they have a great signing in a dman with campbelll.... but why the hell do you pay that much for huet... you have the bulin wall still who makes just a little bit more.. who is the starter? who is the backup? and wow.. what a waste of money cause both of them for next season are eating up 11 million dollars between the two..
on a another note.. looks like my stars finally hit the pool with the big pest.. YUK!!... i cant beleive they went after and got sean avery... he doens't need to protect anyone over there...
