AHL players that have disappeared from my roster: - Justin Pogge - Petr Kalus - Tyler Bouck
Retired or Euros: - Steve Rucchin - Scott Mellanby - Janne Niinimaa - Scott Ferguson - Wade Skolney - Jaroslav Balastik - Rico Fata - Chad Wiseman - Michael Garnett
Ummm... How did Freddy Meyer end up being in the dispersal draft?!

interesting question. I'll look into it and let you know. My original suspicion would be he was on someones prospect list, and therefore created. I'll get back to you.

Hmmm... Maybe Anaheim will have to launch a legal action against the Montreal Canadians for stealing one of its players...
We'd gladly accept a first-round pick as compensation if they want to avoid it

Well...according to league history, the Edmonton Oilers drafted Freddy Meyer in the 16th round of what looks like the initial draft for the league. Then... (As of Tuesday, Oct 19 2006) To Tampa Bay: Scott Gomez, Freddy Meyer, Dan Hinote, 3.5 millions, EDM3 Y2007 To Edmonton: Mike Fisher, Francois Beauchemin, Yuri Trubaschev and Libor Pivko.
That currently left it in Tampa's hand, but later on in the trade history...
(As of Wednesday, Feb 7 2007)
To Chicago: Freddy Meyer, Phi 2007 Rnd 5 To Calgary: Janne Niinimaa, $200,000
And according to the prior rosters to the dispersal draft...I don't know how Meyer was in the draft. If it is to be found that I can keep Meyer, I definately would like to do so, but if i must lose him, I'm pretty sure a compensatory pick and signing bonus return would likely be coming my way.
unfortunately i believed i signed lucic last season already. and they placed his nhl contract on my team.. so in fact they may be right on him with only having 2 yrs left. sorry man
