RE: BRHL2 Draft

My personal opinion on this is to side with Luke, generally because being a year behind does lighten the load as far as scouting is concerned.
I do not have a line to Mr. Sutter either but who cares?

Not one GM, owner or scout has any real clue what a player is gonna do at the NHL level until once they get there.

Sure there are a few players who can be labeled pretty much a sure thing but some slip through the cracks ( Alexander Daigle ) The same can be said about many who are likely to ever get drafted higher than the 6th round, some just bloom late !

We are suppose to immulate the real NHL and by being one year behind we sort of lose that high risk pick of thought at least immediately anyhow.
I am not complaining on how it is though as I am fine with it either way. But really if guys like George and Luke somehow have a advantage over most, I say bring them on !!
I will try harder, because I AM THAT DAMN GOOD !!!!!    LMAO
Did I say that out loud ?   Oh Shysters !

Penguins Rules !!   At least here.

Suck for real though !

Sorry Eric !

I agree that guys like George and Luke would have an advantage with prospect knowledge, and understand that this is a cash league and guys have to use their advantages.

But, we also have to have some parity in the league. Drafting a year behind the NHL helps everyone out. If we end up with 3 or 4 franchises with all the players and all the best prospects, pretty soon Eric will be running a 25 team dispersal draft.

I dont think thats true. I know even Aaron would take over a brutal team to get back in the league.

Also, I find it very amusing that half of you are "giving in" to George and I without even putting up a fight... I mean we already have a year more of development to watch by having the draft 1 year later, not to mention an NHL draft order to follow. Professionals know more than George and I. If GMs just simply followed the order, they'd probably have plenty of success. Theres the parity you're asking for.

It's just as unfair to George, myself and plenty of the other strong drafting GMs like NJ, TOR, old LAK GM etc... to limit things like this.

I don't see what the limit is?

We are drafting the same guys that the NHL teams are drafting, I don't understand why we have to change it. Our ratings and rosters are set a season behind the NHL, and the draft is, too. I don't see what the problem is.
