Rumor has it the Rangers organization have just scored a super deal brining in a legit #1 starter rated in the high 70's (79????) for a busted up 4th liner possibly heading back to Europe plus an extremly late 3rd rounder and 2 mil cash.
The deal makes complete sense for New York who was going to be active come free agency in trying to secure a legit #1 ahead of Mike Smith, now with a "possible" deal in place the team can keep the extra 4-8 million in our pocket and look at suring up our defense as the last key to the puzzle come free agency. The Rangers are now solidified between the pipes, about 80% on defense and 100% at offense. We're not saying we're gonna bump out the top horses in the east among the likes of Buffalo, Philly and Atlanta but we should figure into around the #4-6 spots all season long and hope to have a solid playoffs and maybe create a few upsets.
Our club is actually ahead of schedule having just made the playoffs last year in the final spot, and looking ahead to this coming season and see just how good our boys can be. Thanks to some seriously sweet rerates that our players will enjoy and some timely moves last year, our club is poised to make some noise this season. There are around 10 others that will get the bump up and could factor in to be big upgrades as well miexed in with a few salty dogs there's a nice mix here in New York. I know some of my boys arent super 1st line studs but we're on our way, i'm hoping to not get slammed with negative feedback or jabs but I'm really really excited about what I've done with this team and where we're going and I wanted to share it with the league. your team has a bunch of solid solid assets and you've done a great job, (battling into playoffs last year even though jovo-stumpel got released,, if u can land a premier d-man and a good 2nd line forward in ufa i think u will compete with rex for the division crown..... that is if u actually got a 79 ov goalie..
