Just one day after calling a mandatory 1 on 1 meeting with the entire team keeping them accountable for their effort, team leader Jarome Iginla delivered on the ice. Iginla led the Sabres hungry offense with 2 goals in a 4-0 defeat of the Hurricane on Wednesday night. "We played tonight with a sense of urgency. I think we learned that during the playoffs, they all need to be played like that. I expect not less of an effort for game 6," Iginla explains
After an 18 save shutout, it appears Coach Tom Renney's call-out of their superstar goaltender Martin Brodeur worked. "Tonight I just tried to play like I did all season- Relaxed. I just got back to the basics and let my instincts take over. I felt good, really good."
Tonight's first star, Dustin Brown, answered Iginla's challenge. Brown had culminated only 1 point in the first four games of the series- tonight, he doubled that output. "I'd just been gripping the stick to tight, Iggy just challanged me to go hard but play loose, that's what I did. Zets gave me two passes right on my stick, so you've got to give him a lot of credit."
The Sabres head back to Carolina where they look to clinch the series in 6 games, but it certainly wont be easy with the Hurricane's back against the wall.

i think its funny because i was joking originally when i posted about your practice. knowing id made probable 100 post talking about thrashers practice..
