I agree that Chicago is more stacked than a normal NHL team, but again, if you want to see rates that work to provide NHL-like #s, regardless of how stacked a team is, I can give you a link.... And I have no problem losing to Chicago. I have much more of a problem with the way the regualr season ended up and we actually finished behind a much weaker Colorado team for a variety of reasons....
And obviously I am not guaranteeing the Hawks to win the cup. But I do think (as I did when the season started) that they will win it. I don't think there is much else for competition in the West, and then one series against an Eastern team (who knows who that will be). Although I guess I am contradicting myself in this thread. Anything can happen with these rates and this sim!
Come on now. Why has there been no love for the Wings all season long? Not that I'm looking past the Flames, but I was 6-2 vs the Hawks this season, and split the series with Atlanta and Buffalo. My record is (12-8) vs the teams that finished the season with over 100 points. The only thing that is hurting me is the lack of EX/LD from the younger guys. If I can manage that, I should have just as good a shot as anyone in the West.
That, plus how often has the sim worked like it should? How often do the two best teams make the finals in any given season? I could win the cup, or I could lose in the first round. Neither would surprise me.

Congrats to the Hawks on a good series win, and on winning the 2nd BRHL2 Cup...
Also, the horrible rates in this league strike again. 8-7 game? When was the last NHL game that had 15 goals? Goalie stats in this league are hilarious and are a direct result of horrible goalie rates and bad rates all-round....
