Everyone is familiar with the FHL program we are currently running, and the limitations of it. We are contemplating a move to the new sim program out there, the STHS. We would like your feedback on which you the GM would prefer. Please vote, and leave any feedback or questions you may have.
Eric and I have discussed the stability and realism of STHS with other commishioners and by and large the feedback from other commishioners is extremely in favour of the STHS as it has multiple new features and is much easier to manager from a commish standpoint
Until I've had the chance to try the new Sim, or receive sufficient endorsements that it will work with Vista I am going to vote no change... If others have opinions in favour of the new Sim, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

I have not used it myself. But the results I have seen from another league almost had me rolling on the floor laughing. There are multiple teams (strong teams with good goalies) that are averaging less than a goal against per game, and around 10 shots against per game. If I could bet on games in this league I could make a lot of money. 99% of the time a great team beats a bad team. 90% of the time the team with the better rates wins. I have no problem with the best teams winning most of the time, but this is ridiculous. You don't need a sim to output these results, you just need a calculator to add up the rates and then say whoever has the highest wins the game. Basically, the sim engine does not have enough randomness built in to be anywhere near realistic. I know from a personal standpoint (as a commish) I would never go near this sim right now. The good points of it do not yet outweigh its negative aspects.
I would rather stay with FHL. It, with all it's little bugs just seems less clunky than STHS. There are a few cool features....but for the amount that you care of those features, they don't have that much added value.
I was in a STHS and found it tough to get into it...I don't know why.
the bottom line is STHS has more semi-useful options but it sim engine is garbage and although fhl has some bugs, the sim engine is great and that's what fantasy hockey is about.
A move to STHS would make sense in the long run, but waiting another year while they improve the program and fix any bugs can't hurt.
Plus, you guys just about got the FHL ratings perfect. It could take you over a year to figure out ratings for the new program.
My two cents...for what its worth

Another thing I would be interested in is examining the ratings for next year vs. ratings of STHS sim....because they look a lot different. Also would be able to get used to it before we switched.
