oiler playoffs dreams haha

with the team on a tear right now 9-2 in last 11 their is some dreaming of playoffs in e-town today hahah local radio station said this

we need minny or colorado to win in regulation tonight.

phoenix to beat vancouver in regulation-

us beat phoenix tommorow.-columbus beat calgary - and washington beat nashville..

san jose to beat minny weds.

then us beat vancouver on thursday and det > nash.. la > phoenix... and colorado-calgary to be a regulation win..

and the team is 1-2 points out of playoffs if 6-7 games go their way.

i personally dont think it will just shake down that nice and have us in an ACTUAL race (within 3 points with 7 games left) buttttttttttt. as a season ticket holder hears to hoping haha. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

hoping its the flames who tank and miss--- yah luke your star flames full of vetern plugs (nolan-sarich-warrener-conroy-llangkow-aucioun) sure have a bright future for you.. and ur what??? 7 point ahead of us??? nice work.....

I guess 5 years of Iginla, Kiprusoff, Phaneuf and Regehr isn't much of a future... sure. I mean I'll take a good pro team over potential any day of the week. Our team is what you're hoping your young stars will turn into, but achieve maybe a bit more.

I mean we could sell out and deal our captain and the heart and soul of our team for all you got too.

There is no way the Oilers make the playoffs, although I wouldn't mind seeing them win a bunch of games down the stretch (except for the Nucks game of course) just to screw with Burkie and the Ducks so they don't get a top 10 pick in the draft.

I totally agree Rob. I do not want to see the ducks pick in the top 5 thats for sure. Anything 8th or lower would be acceptable.

The brilliant part was the Flames ending their chances.

As an Oiler fan (though I'm not the homer that Kirk and Bryce are - with their Oiler PJ pants), I thought they were out-matched in almost every aspect on paper. They don't play games on paper, and this team showed a lot of heart.

A big part of their success next year will to make sure there are no sophmore slumps from their young crew.

As for a future. It has a light. As long as Lowe doesn't screw it up. He'll have to make sure that getting Penner was worth it, otherwise those compensation picks could come back to hurt a team that would love some additional youth.

Just like I hope my Leafs will beat the Sens tonight, although it technically wouldn't eliminate them.

The ONE time I want the Leafs to win, and they blow it - big time.
