These were the two trades I made around the deadline
Ottawa sends: FLA 4/08
Pittsburgh sends: Joe Nieuwendyk
I figured even though I would prefer the higher pick it looks like the Sens will make the playoffs and I needed at least a little bit of secondary scoring and Nieuwendyk was an iprovement over Cullen as my second line C and he didn't cost very much.
to Ottawa:
Derrick Morris Casey Borer
to Dallas:
Henrik Tallinder
This was a very hard deal to make as I love Tallinder's defensive ratings and with Campbell gone Tallinder should get some more PP time in Buffalo but getting Morris back who is solid both defensively and offensively (hoping his DF rating jumps up a bit) and picking up a good young Dman in Borer who looks close to making the big show with Carolina after getting a cup of coffee this season made the deal too good to pass up. While he probably will not develop into a top pairing defenseman but he has the ability to be a 3/4 defenseman IMO if he continues to develop.

To Calgary: Jamie Langenbrunner, Patrick Marleau, Danius Zubrus To St Louis: Daymond Langkow, Chris Drury, David Vyborny
Marleau was a hard piece to give up, but I get two vets in Langkow and Drury who are signed for a reasonable price long-term. Although Vyborny isn't having a great season in Columbus, he is signed for 4 season at 2.5 million, Zubrus who is also suffering will need a new contract and will probably make close to 3 mill.
To St Louis: Michael Peca To Dallas: Brandon Bochenski, Drew Miller, Carl Sneep
I hated making this deal, however, I had no use for Bochenski as he was on my fourth line and not producing. Miller and Sneep are solid prospects, with Miller already getting time in the NHL. Peca is able to step in, provide my team with some solid defense and next year could be rated as a solid two way player.
