Saku Koivu played 14 minutes in his first game back in just over two weeks off due to injury. It was the first time the Blues could field it's fully healthy roster since February 5th as February was a hard hit for the Blues which saw their performance lag throughout the month. However, with the deal that sent Patrick Marleau, Jamie Langenbrunner and Danius Zubrus to Calgary has revived St Louis playoff hopes. Langkow scored a hattrick in the final of 8 games against the Hawks, which ended with the Hawks and Blues splitting the series 2-2-4. Considering that the two games the Hawks won was while Marleau was out injured, the Hawks underachieved against a team that finished 6th last in the league last season. GM Gareth Evans has revitalized a team by bringing in veteran players and shoring up the weak spots on the Blues team. Evans believes that next year, the Blues could launch a cup run if they get the players they want in free agency.
The Blues now sit 3 points out of a playoff spot, with 17 games left. In four games with the Blues, Vyborny leads the newbies with 8 points, Langkow is next with 7 points (including 5 goals) and Drury has 6 points. Vyborny rewarded the Blues for the promotion to the top line with 4 assists in the game against the Hawks.
The Blues finally found their second playmaking forward in Vyborny, and now have the secondary scoring that has left them for the month of February.
The same site that says heatley is a C jk..probably OJ tag, just leave that up to bryce and eric- or ask him privately. That's how things get stirred up.
Nice tie man, maybe you'll get back to you're start of the season form where you were in 1st.
