Not to be outdone by any other contender, the Chicago Blackhawks made another bold move adding Daniel Alfredsson to their top line.
Leaving the Hawks are David Legwand, Jeff Tambellini and a first round draft pick along with young blueliner Zbenyk Michalek. Also coming to the Hawks is rearguard Kevin Bieksa.
"Man, this one was tough, because I am one of the biggest David Legwand fans out there. But he is what he is, a great 2nd line player with tons of energy. If he had that little over the top offensive spark, he would be a superstar. But when someone trades a top 5 scorer in the league, then you have to make your play, and we felt with three firsts in the upcoming draft, lots of good young prospects.....so we decided to make this move to try to put us over the top."
