Just wondering, but has BRHL every considered a revised rating methodology? Its a bit strange to me that Roberto Luongo could be at and .883 save % after 25 games. I think the difference between a top goalie in this league and a average #1 isn't the same as a top goalie is in the NHL- hence tim thomas last year, and even this year in the sim. Also Marty played more mins than any goalie last year (I believe, may not luongo) and this year i can't play him 2 games in a row unless I want him to be at a 99 or 98 health, and he's on pace for the most mins this year. Something's not right.
Another one for skaters is the fact that players on horrible teams get better ratings mainly because no one else is there to play minutes. How duvie westcott (who was sent down this year on CLB) ever got the same rating as Weber and Suter is beyond. I know we've gone over this before, and it's not complaining at all, I just want to see if anyone feels the same way. Maybe its unavoidable but just wanted to see what people thought.

I have talked to Bryce about BRHL ratings for a few years now.
My thoughts have always been that there should be more dispairity between elite players and not so elite players.
I have also thought that the DF formula relying on PK stats to determine DF leaves some important stuff out. A great example is using a kid like Cogliano on your PK. He isn't on the PK because he is good defensively per se, but faster than lightning. His DF is going to reflect that.
I haven't seen the formula for ratings, but it would be cool to see. As for the Duvie Wescotts of the world, that would be tougher, because you have to measure him against his peers, and that has to be quantifyable.
I spent about 5 hours talking to Eric in the off-season begging him to change them and a good amount of time talking to Bryce a few weeks ago and he said player ratings aren't changing, goalie ratings might be reviewed a little but not as much as any of us would like. It's unfortunate because in my mind this is the only obvious aspect of this league that's lacking. Bryce's knows where I stand but I don't think he agrees with any of us however and I think we just have to respect that.
I love the ratings as well and was also a big reason why I opted for this league in the beginning having known what the ratings system would be like. I do however feel that some ratings should be reviewed when those strange cases are brought forward. Thanks-Joe NYRGM
I think, as a whole, the BRHL ratings are some of the best out there.
