In their last match up the Thrashers dominated the Detriot Redwings beating them 6-3 and chasing goalie in the late stages of the 2nd period. Fleury became the 4 consecutive goalie to be chased from the net by the league leading Thrasher offense which was lead on the night against detriot by Ales Hemsky who had a goal and 3 helpers to move into the top 12 in BRHL2 scoring joining teammates Rod Brindamour and Dany Heatley in the top 12 scorers.
Captain Sheldon Souray stepped up as the number one d-man again with a goal and an assist with a +3 rating.
