The BRHL2 along with the BOD has decided to reverse the deals on a strong basis that Mike S. ex-VAN GM was acting on the impression leaving his GM post shortly. In a conversation that Mike and I had, he confessed that his deals were made hastily and without his normal consent for making past BRHL2 moves.
I along with other members of the BOD felt that the evidence was strong enough, and given the precedent of reversing trades based on a GMs reasoning, and less of the "value for value" base.
So in short, the deals involving STL, CHI and PIT with the Vancouver Canucks shortly after his cap casualty loss of Jagr have been reversed.

i agree... all trades should be reversed... in terms of fairness... i know buffalo has offered to reverse his deal as well, but honestly, I thought the Hainsey for niskanen and barker was the MOST egregious trade up until the STL trade...
sorry, but im sure in the interest of fairness certainly that one had to have been overlooked...
please commishes please comment about this..

I still 100% disagree with this move, and from what I seen the BOD did not unanimously vote on this at all so I do not undrstand how this statement was made.
And in response to Rex:
I could not agree more, if these deals must be reversed then all deals up to that point must be looked at including the Buffalo ones.
This makes no sense and I feel this is being forced upon us, since I am planning on moving Sakic immediately it is obvious that my thought process is not because i am gonna lose Sakic , on the contrary, this is just not right.
As I said before we had a chance to shoot these deals down and the Commishes and the BOD did not ! Regardless of what Mike ( allegedly ) said in regards to his teams well being during these trades which I do not believe is so and has been also confirmed by others on the BOD,the league is responsible for proper actions not taking place as they happened and everyone else involved should not be the reciprients of the problem.
Also picking which deals should be forfeited and which should not does not work for me either. Who knows how far back this actually started to happen? We have had many games with these players now and other trades were based on trades made with Vancouver.
Do we forfeit all of them as well ?
Not sure why the brass is insisting on doing this but i would like to hear why !
I suggest a full league poll to determine which is right and wrong on this matter.

I agree 100% with Rod on this issue, not only do I disagree with the actions taken by the commishioners and the BOD about the trades in the first place, i disagree about picking and choosing which trades to reverse.
my deal with him happened before the jagr incident, but if it has to be reversed i'm fine with it. i have a feeling you bring this up since you thought you acquired them though.
I think only the trades that Mike made when he wasn't caring anymore should be reversed. Since Eric has talked to him, he likely knows which ones they are. Other than that, it isn't fair to the other teams if additional trades are reversed.
I had thought when I talked to Eric, that any deal that Mike made after losing Jagr was going to be reversed.
Obviously the guy made all those deals without giving a crap. No offense to the guys that are against it, but I think that guys who were benefactors of those crappy deals are speaking from their own point of view and not the league point of view.
Our team loses out big time with the reversal. Each independent deal isn't bad enough to overturn, but as a collective group, they are a **** show by a guy that didn't care about his team anymore. Why you would try to defend keeping them as is, is kind of a mystery.
Our team loses out but the league overall is better off. And in my opinion, every deal that Vancouver made after losing Jagr should be overturned.
I'm completely fine with reversing vyborny deal. If Eric wants to make that decision, I stand by him. It's not the best deal the Sabres organization has ever made regardless.

Since this is an issue regarding "the best interest of the league", why not take a poll of all GM's and see what the GM's would like to see done.
Steve
People have agendas. Their votes are influence by what is best for their team. For example, if all the western conference teams are selfish, they want the deals to go through to take a competitor out of the running.
The Commissioner will always act in the best interest of the league (As example of Eric giving up a good team to try to fix that debacle in NYI). I think this is a very easy decision and should be done swiftly.

Good point. Reverse ALL trades done after the Jagrgate scandal.
