The team traded away brian pothier tonight and in return got a couple good young defensemen, Matt Niskanen is a former first rounder by the stars who is only 20 years old and getting 16 min a night nhl and has a a goal a 3 assists in his rookie campaign for the stars so far, after having a very prolific career in the NCAA where he had 31 points in 39 games his last season as a d-man.
The team also got a player they thinks is having a little rough patch in what will be a superstar career. Cam Barker the former 3rd overall choice is a big 6'3 220lbs d-man who in his future will likely become the powerplay QB for the BlackHawks which will be featuring Toews-Kane.
The team also save 900k from its cap aswell in the trade.
