As I'm sure you read in the other thread about the Sundin issue. What Philippe described is accurate. There was some, either technical glitch, or hand of god that put TB over the cap due to a recent trade.
ALSO, I've been in discussion with Ross Simnor who was on the unfortunate end of a mail mishap. Ross had sent in a request to drop players from his pro roster, to his farm roster thus keeping him cap compliant. And the e-mail was never received. I got in touch with Yahoo, but they couldn't produce an e-mail from that far back because they seem to only "re-establish / back up" their servers. It was only a matter of a few days that I missed the cut to recover the league inbox.
Ross was adimant, but calm in explaining that he had sent the e-mail in. He ended up being able to supply a screen shot of the sent e-mail. Proving that he had indeed sent the e-mail.
I'm sure this will come as a bit of a "shock" that this either took long to iron out, which it did. Or that it wasn't handled on the board. Ross decided to handle it privately through e-mail.
The league has now un-suspended St. Louis due to the mail mishap.
While these two instances happened, and were reversed. I'm still very strict on the Cap, as well as other rules. These were simply honest mistakes made out of the control of both parties. Something that does and will happen.
Before you complain or praise, please acknowledge the way in which the manners were held. Privately, but more importantly professionally. We're willing to make sure that we keep GM's happy, when it means that they met the requirements to stay within the rules.
Thanks.
