Russian duo lead Isles to 6-2 win over crosstown rival Rangers

Oleg Saprykin once again stars in leading the Islanders to a 1-0-1 start to the season, scoring three goals tonight and top game star to go with his goal and assist and third star from game one. Rookie Russian Alexei Semenov also is on a two game goal scoring streak with his second of the season tonight. Captain Lang was silent tonight after being top star in tie with New Jersey on day two, but alternate captain Simon got an assist on four shots and two hits. Goaltender Theodore only had to face 22 shots, giving up a goal to Koivu and Hossa to divisional rival Rangers.
