GM Simnor has finally realized the potential of his squad and pulled the trigger on a deal that will see his team become a contender, while holding the idea of 'keeping the squad together' for a few years.
Simnor was said to be 'slow' or 'patient' in his first season as a GM in the highly touted BRHL2 , but after a decent first year, Simnor is looking to make some moves.
'I liked the original team I drafted for season 1, and I knew some GM's would get overactive, and that's not what I was looking to do. I really like my core guys, my youth and prospects and after getting ripped on by 'Gossip Man' for taking Malkin in the 2nd round...well...come on...'
In the last week, Simnor has been opening up the market on some of his depth players and has moved a handful of prospects to land Dmen Toni Lydman and Paul Mara, while adding vets Yanic Perrault and Geoff Sanderson...
'I like Mara and Lydman. Perrault is a bit of a girl and Sanderson has seen his best days as a Whaler, when he sniped 46 G'no's....'
'The hardest propects to move was Ritola, but it had to be part of the deal...Good work by NYI to do some research....'
Simnor went onto state that although Theodore is a risk he still believes the former all-star could have a huge year in the NHL...
The Av's are currently looking to Upgrade. 'We are looking for a number 1 PP dman and a all-star Right Winger to play with Malkin and St.Loius. We are not looking to add much age, as we want this team together for two to three years.'
