The Boston Bruins held a press conference tonight to announce two trades done as the team looks towards season 2.
In a minor deal with the Blues teh team dealt Travis Roche and Tyler Spurgeon to St Louis in exchange for Martin Gelinas.
Gelinas adds depth to the teams wings and can play a variety of roles for the team.
Then in the big deal, the team sent Ray Emery, Taylor Pyatt, Jeff Cowan, Dmitri Patzold, and a 6th rounder to Ottawa. Coming back is Ryan Miller, Alexander Radulov, and Colin Fraser.
"We are thrilled to add Ryan to our team, as he is one of the best goalies in the league, and though he's highly payed, he's on a 5 year deal, and we think he is going to be a fantastic Bruin for the longterm. To pick up Alexander is unbelievable for this team, we're already debating hwo to use him, but you can be assured that he will be in our top 6, and competing for the Calder."
Bruins fans were excited to hear the news, one fan was heard saying "Kessel-Radulov will be the next Kurri-Gretzky". Of course the fan was plastered beyond belief, but optimism reigns supreme in Boston today.
nice deal both ways as ottawa get a similar goalie but way cheaper and gives themselves a lil cap room to keep on adding in a very competitive eastern conference,

You mean to LEFT wing! I really wanted Gelinas but told the blues g.m. I have no room on the left side and that I tried and tried to find a listing of him at right wing but every source said left wing, which in fact, is the position he's been playing: left wing.
but he adds depth to the wings, because he allows others to move back and forth
And Kessel will be the best US born player ever Kirk. After of course whichever scrub you're offering people for their star players
Kessel still has a long way to go in the NHL before he can even hold Joe Mullen's jock strap.
