The Olli Jokinen Rule

NOONE TAKES YOU SERIOUSLY ANYMORE AARON, AS THIS THREAD CAN ATTEST. YOU LENDING YOUR VOICE TO THIS CAUSE HURTS THE CAUSE MORE THAN HELPS IT.

Plus like I said before, I look forward to seeing jokinen at c for the upcoming season then :)

This rule doesnt even affect us really anyways.

Just think everyone is blowing this out of proportion.

I for one think the rule is definitly unfair....this rule should come back up at the end of the season when all rules are updated/changed. During UFA period is not the way to go.

Rex, come on buddy, you can be more respectful than that.

Rex, I think what you just said is more accurate towards yourself. I mean you come on here with caps lock on "yelling" at people and telling everyone to chill out when they have a concern.

I find it unbelievabley disrespectful to basically tell everyone that their opinion doesn't mean **** and to chill out when there are 12 GMs that have voiced the same thing. Thats basically what you've done. Yet I have no respect? Keep living in your dream world if thats the case Rex.

Do you want me to go back into all the most recent threads and quote some of the garbage you've said? Don't be a hypocrite man.

all i was saying is that I look forward to this rule getting reversed (im with the other 12 GM's on that) and thus seeing olli jokinen back at center for the upcoming year....

OR ELSE PERHAPS LAYING OFF ERIC OVER SOMETHING THAT AFFECTS OUR TEAMS LIKE 0.05%....

PERSPECTIVE... thats what i was saying in my previous posts....

just was saying noone takes your opinion seriously.... may as well stop posting arin....
and now here's a grade 10 response from arin:

New York Rangers will keep this brief but we're on board for the position change.  Isles whats the count now?   I just think it could help an up and coming team or a team not blessed with so many big stars.  In some cases that one position change will make a tremendous difference for a small market type club in sporting a decent well balanced powerplay.   Just wanted to weigh in my thoughts.  Take care and good luck.

The Canes too are against this rule. While it would help with a FA that we are looking at and on our top lines I think it will just lead to more work and problems down the line for the front office and the Commish.

Play the guys where they are suppose to play.

In fairness to the team that traded for him and thought they were going to be able to move him I like the idea of the half season just for him and then back to his normal spot.

You can post your selections here in this thread.

The NYI's Yanic Perreault will then be moved to LEFT WING to play on a scoring line.

i'm wondering if say for example, vancouver needed a good puckmoving center.... could he use the Olli Jokinen rule to put Gonchar as a center?
