Not that we did not try, but the escalating prices in FA have way outpriced the Penguins at this time and it basically leaves our team in real trouble for a couple of seasons. No miracle finish this year i am afraid ,unless something severe can be done. Mortgaging the future to get there though is not an option, so its either stick with this team or rebuild. Since I am not a believer in complete rebuilds unless absolutely necessary especially in a pay league, I will try to do what I can to make something out of this team. My GM abilities will certainly be put to test now.
