Another Question: Why aren't we allowed to drop a rookie who is 70 OV or higher to the minors? In all reality Im pretty sure a lot of teams will have some rookies that are 70 OV that wont be good enough to crack the top team. Some teams have rookies like this in the AHL in real life. Such as radulov for a long time with NSH, Parent is another, Welch was down there for a while. Theres lots like that. Benoit Pouliot is another than migh tget rated 70 OV soon and still not really be a full time NHLer.
Does anyone else think this rule should be tweeked a bit? I think 72 OV should be the threshhold for skaters under the age of 21. Just throwing it out there. Please dont think Im doing this for my team or whatever you guys usually think, cause we dont have anyone like this that we want to send down. Its just something that might arise in this league.
I got another question aswell. -- why after the first batch of rerates came out, and people really started to resign guys or make offseason moves. why were players ratings still changed??? when resigning guys for the new contract why were their ratings changed after? (ex; Tom Poti for me had a df rating of 80 overall and an overall rating of 77 overall, when rerates came out. after i resigned him his df rating dropped 5 points to a 75 making him 76 overall a much weaker defender thus not what i would have given him as a rfa.) ANOTHER example is Adam Foote who when rerates came out had an 80 df and was 76 ov when i dealt him to st.louis his ratings jumped to 83 df and 77 overall, if this has been explained please point me to the thread.
but if not just bringing this issue up as their is nothing that can be done now i guess but just wanting to see this FIXED for next offseason as blunders like this can PO a guy.. this isnt me saying the league sucks or its unfair, just something to look out for next offseason
We had a glitch in the rerates when we did the data conversion, so we had to get them fixed. Realistically if you're signing a guy because his DF is 2 points higher then you have more serious concerns than that.
Will likely be a moot point going forward as we're currently developing a spreadsheet to take all subjectivity out of it.
Why aren't the division leaders of the 6 divisions ranked 1,2,3 in the conference standings? FHL definately has this feature available because another league Im in uses it.
