What are the chances of seeing what time and date each color in the free agency spreadsheet was posted?  It would be nice to know when each offer is due to hit 48 hours in case we want to get a last minute bid in, or know when our offer will be sold....

Does anyone know what the verdict was on if we can go over the cap 10% or not BEFORE the season? I know there was a discussion on it, and thats how it works in the NHL, but I wasnt sure what we are doing here.

Can someone explain to me how Lidstrom's yearly total got to 19.5?

From my calculation, the highest yearly total, including bonus, can be 16.5. ($11 mil max salary allowed and then 50% of it is 6.5)

There is no 20% cap, otherwise itd be unfair to two bidding teams. I suggested just the signing bonus goes up after u reach 20% of a teams salary, but Im glad it wasnt incorporated cause then its like bidding with play money.

It says in the rules the richest BRHL contract is $11 Million..im not implying the 20% rule....

in another post, it says that their can be no max on salaries in UFA... it would be unfair for someone to automatically offer the max offer and no other team has a chance to beat it....

Yeah, just take a look at the rules above the Free Agency Central. Its in their somewhere. Search the word unfair I believe and you'll find it.
