Boston has acquired Todd Marchant from the Islanders in return for Sergei Samsonov, Kirill Starkov and Bos 7th round pick
"We hated to move Starkov, who we think could be in the NHL as soon as next season, but Todd fills such an important role as 3rd line center that we were sorely lacking."
When asked about the second line center spot, which is currently unfilled, GM Shuck simplay stated, "We'll see what happens today."
