what everyone figure a guy like holmstrom will sign for?
i think the market will get crazy enough he will get like 5.5 mill base salary (max signing bonus) for a 2 or 3 years deal..

what everyone else think?

Will be interesting to see....there are a small group of contenders right now, that are mostly close to the cap and have few holes.

Then there are teams that will splurge on a couple of stars and become contenders....

But, will there be a huge market for the second tier guys? If some of the teams in that second group don't get the top players, they may decide to rebuild. And not many contenders can afford $5M against the cap (Buffalo excluded).

Then again, the bad teams (myself included) could always just blow up the market armed with plenty of cap room. Hell, I may NEED to pay someone like him that much just to make the floor.
