The Rangers moved soft centerman Mikko Koivu to San Jose in exchange for gritty forward Antoine Vermette who can play all three positions. This will be Vermette's 2nd stint with New York who regretted moving him the entire season after the deal was made. Also going to New York were a 2nd and 3rd in the 08 draft as well as young defenseman prospect Nathan Oystrick.
