I am with Bryce on this one. Even if you did not have the rates, it is pretty easy to figure out what ballpark a guy will be in by looking at his NHL stats. I could have told you Backstrom would be high 70s up to 80-81. I mean, the guy was one of the top goalies in almost every stat category in the NHL last year....
there isnt a single sane person on this planet who would have predicted that Backstrom and Hasek would have the same OV around here... that's just shocking
Maybe before the season.... But anyone that has been in any FHL league and compared Backstrom and Hasek numbers could have predicted it quite easily when the NHL season ended...
Though it still doesn't seem right that 11 goalies are 80+ OV and Hasek isn't among them. He was better than that.
Wins don't make a goalie.. I mean there was a stretch where only Martin Brodeur won more games than Dan Cloutier for 3 years when the WCE was hot.. we all know how well loved Cloutier is. A goalie has to put up good numbers as well.
In the stats you posted, you showed the biggest different.. Hasek only had a 913 SP while Backstrom posted a 929.
