PS im done commenting on this,, buffalo youve made deals with new g.ms to aquire 2 of your top 3 players in brodeur, jokinen.. u dont see a bunch of guys come on and bitch about value (position change yes) but value is a judgement thing buddy like i could see stafford >> jeff carter where u wouldnt probably.. so if u still wanna post ur opinion. post
team A wins team B doesnt
and keep your attacks and insults to yourself please.
to atlanta- marian gaborik, mike fisher, dallas 3rd 08 to dallas- simon gagne, travis zajac, atlanta 1st 08 and roman polak, Polak is a throw in given he's a d-man who doesnt score, assist or even have size, so limited upside ratingswise.
Gaborik 81 ov for Gagne 81 ov is dead even (though I love Gabbie more and think he has a Hart in him) except Gabbie is on a one year deal and Gagne will probably have a contract locked in for a few seasons, the RFA's new contract doesnt seem to be processed whatever it is.
Fisher 77 ov + 3rd = Zajac 71 ov + 1st (especially if Dallas wants to go even younger; Atlanta wants to boost performance now for cup run)
Wow, ok time to finally weigh in. I am insulted by Buffalo's comments. I am by no means new to this or less knowledgable on hockey. I'm actually probably the best hockey mind in the league and i've been doing this for 14yrs . To be honest both Buffalo and Atlanta are complete pain in the asses and pests to no end. That said I love both you guys and we've completed many deals and will complete more again in the future. Its all a matter of what is valued to that said GM and his/her gameplan for thier team.
I for one will not stand and let my organization get badmouthed over deals I make. I've moved picks recenlty in the last week or two because two weeks ago I had 2 million in team funds and single handedly after tonight have brought it up over 40 million. I've moved picks/prospects and older expensive vets because the draft will suck this year, my prospects were all failed bums, and the older vets I needed the cap space to land some big names. My team is probably #1 in terms of a team that could use a few big name vets through FA and we plan on doing just that. My entire team is great solid youth all rated 68-71 and should be in mid 70's next season. I have the most money now and very close to the most cap room so we're going BUCK-WILD during free agency. Yes we plan on getting who we want and the numbers are going to get outta control to ensure I get them. Anyone who wants to personally insult me on how I manage my team of young studs can give me a hollar at 177989055 on ICQ, cska76x on AIM, cska76x@yahoo.com on email, or come down to Rhode Island and we'll share a sleeping bag CANTEEN BOY style, and figure out the issue.
ahhahah cheer up boys and have fun, thats what its all about, happy hunting in free agency -Joe DesMarais NYRGM
Dude shut up. Im protecting franchises that you keep pillaging. The league is going to have a hard time finding replacements if they keep letting guys rape teams. This isnt a new GM deal, but you do it all the time and its fricken crooked to be completely honest.
New GMs should have their deals be under the league spotlight for the first half a yaer in they are in the league. No offence but theres a lot of people that come into the league and dont really know enough about hockey to succeed in this league.

lol, those must have been the sourest grapes Ive ever heard.....
seems funny that the team that made a deal with a "new" GM that never paid, and therefore never was "any" GM (brodeur from phoenix)..... would have problems with kirk or any team for that matter getting deals done with these new guys...
they have just as much of a right to move guys how they see fit as you do seeing fit to call jordan staal a 3rd line checker.......
hehe, if thats true thats pretty funny you must admit...
so buffalo, WOW, take a xanax

I think the other BRHL Gm's would agree with me on this one:
All we are missing is Kris to take over a vacant team, and this message board would be complete insanity! It's pretty close now.
It's not the end of civilization, but if you stand on a chair or a step ladder you can see it from here.

Which new GMs are you referring to? I am a new GM who has made a couple deals with Atlanta. The deals I've made with Kirk have all been for the betterment of my franchise.

I understand the issue some of you may have with Kirk and his persistance and his tendency to "go after" new GM's. But I'll state right now that I've had no problems dealing with Kirk. I remember dealing with him when he was in the BRHL years ago, he is annoying and persistant, but other than that I can handle myself thank you very much.
Deal #1: to phoenix- st.louis 1st, joe corvo to atlanta- travis zajac
While I wasn't intending to deal Zajac this deal did make sense to me. Corvo is a good defenseman who took the first half of last season to settle into Ottawa. He played great for them the 2nd half and should continue that this year, especially if the rumors are true about Redden being traded. The first rounder should land me a good prospect with 2nd line potential at the worst. Speaking of 2nd line potential, that's exactly what we're talking about when looking at Zajac. Right now he's rated as a 3rd liner who can't play defense, not particularily usefull at the moment. While it's likely he'll reach 2nd line ability, it's still not guaranteed as he is currently 3rd on the depth chart in NJ for his position.
Deal #2 to atlanta- brian lee, pho 5th to phoenix- alex picard, bos 3rd
This was a no-brainer for me. While lee is an excellent prospect, he's not amazing. He's rated a 7.5 D by hockey's futures meaning he has #3defenseman potential, but he is unlikely to reach that potential. Picard on the other hand is rated 7.5 B meaning he's got 2nd or even 1st line potential, and should reach that potential. Add to this the fact that Picard is #31 on the top 50 prospects (thus worth about $3.50 by my calculation) and the fact that I upgraded a 5th pick to a 3rd and again, this is a good deal for me in my opinion. Another thing to note is that Ottawa currently has plenty of depth on their blue line and it may be a while before Lee makes his way to the big show, while Columbus has already given Picard a chance (yeah I know, poor initial showing, but be patient), and it appears he'll be with the big club again this year.
Ok, that's it for now, and while I do apprecieate your desires to "protect me". I've been in FHL long enough to protect myself thanks.
