still havent seen the deal posted anywhere....

and still no answer to why we are allowing a guys trade go through who never even joined the league.....

maybe it was matthew again....

If bryce is running the team, why wouldnt we even field a few offers from other teams first?????? If buffalo's offer was the best, then there won't even have been an issue, because the deal can simply be re-done.

Can we get some clarification on this???

If you look on the main board, there is a post from Eric about completed trades. It is listed there.

I think it was something like: Zajac + Price + Brian Lee for Brodeur + Ray Whitney.

Personally I think it was a bad deal, but not horrible. I don't really think Whitney needed to be included, but that's just me.

You guys really gotta jump on these issues when they are current. Its over, get over it.

We dealt 40 years of Zajac, Price and Lee for 2 years of brodeur and 1 year of whitney... get a clue.

Im not posting on this subject again in a defence type manner because this is seriously long over and i dont need another retarded argument starting that Eric and Bryce need to seperate. We are adults and we whine like little kids.

It is. I think aaron must have thought you were discussing whether or not it should have gone through. You are definately entitled to your opinion and in fact we appreciate that.

That's a good package for a bad team like Phoenix to take for Brodeur.

i'll have to agree with alex there... getting zajac and price definitely improves their prospect list, zajac plays on the line with parise and langenbrunner (at least he did during the playoffs) but parise may be used between elias and gionta this year... price is a solid goalie prospect, and in montreal, he'll get the chance to shine.... brian lee is a defensive prospect with the sens if i'm correct, was taken 9th overall in the crosby draft...

so buffalo traded three former first round picks to get brodeur.... for a rebuilding team, i would have called that even, but with whitney in it leans towards buffalo... you don't just have whitney for a year, he's a solid player and would help out at any position on a team... however, if you look in a couple seasons time, this trade benefits phoenix more than if it had kept brodeur and whitney....

i dont have a problem with the package that was moved to phoenix.

my problem is with the team they traded with... it was a guy that never paid his fees!

if washingtons deals were reversed before (and of course rightfully so), then i dont know why this one wasnt reversed as well..... just makes sense.

but i dont think anyone will disagree with me that bryce's GM skills are far superior to most, and therefore who's to say exactly what he could have gotten for brodeur and whitney elsewhere?

that was my point....

And i really dont think that me airing my completely reasonable concerns is a detriment in any way, and I really dont think by posting this and getting somen discussion on it is a BAD thing......... and I dont think I should be chastised for it either....

I have talked to both buffalo GMs via PM and expressed this, and they both agree I am not being malicious in my questioning, but of course they want to protect their assets just like every other GM would.....

And considering bryce said that he would make the same exact deal with buffalo, then this is really a non-issue....

just wanted to be heard on the matter...
