After the first deal of acquiring Williams, it would put Atlanta over the 47 million cap limit for the offseason. After all three trades, his final cap payroll is 49,422,500. Even though Atlanta has over 20 pro players on it's pro roster, all of them cannot be put onto the farm without clearing waivers.
I see two options, either the trades are all reversed and Atlanta receives some sort of punishment (like a fine) for attempting to go over the cap. or If Atlanta still wants the trades to go through, he should receive all three punishments for violating the cap. Because the first deal put him over the cap, and the other two trades should have been attempts to put him under it and he didn't try.
Current Atlanta Payroll: 46,506,500* After first trade: 47,131,500* After second trade: 48,272,500 After third trade: 49,422,500
*Both salary payrolls do not include Alexander Semin's Contract (Presently at 0,000)
And yes, every person contributing to the payroll is at least 70+ OV as a player and 73+ as a goalie.
yo monkey a previous deal where i shed 1.9-2.0 mill hasnt been processed yet ;)
Curiosity....was the trade to shed salary before your first trade that took you over the $47 Million? Then that first trade should have never happened.
BluesGM wrote:No matter what, you go over the cap. So the Williams for Brindy trade doesn't go through. Nice try to convince me otherwise donkey. 1) don't call him"Donkey". That's disrespectful. We have a Code of Conduct now.
2) you should know that we have a $ 3 million buffer in the offseason, can have up to 47 mill at any time before the season starts, so the trade does go through
im going to be under the cap after all the deals no need to worry st.louis... (u should be more concerned about what to do with foote insane contract lol jk lol )

And St.Louis proved he went over the 47M offseason cap. It doesnt matter if he was over the cap for 30 seconds before another deal was made, he still went over the cap. Its not a matter of "when all the trades are done" its a matter of being under the cap after EVERY deal.
Seriously, this has to be black and white, he needs to be fined so he learns. Sorry to be on the stickler side but things are too loose here with finances and GMs need to be held accountable.
he called me monkey, i call him donkey... it's the friendship we have...
if you reread the post i have done, the trade that sent williams to new york would have push atlanta over that 3 million buffer....
the trade that atlanta did today would put him under, but no trade should go through if he goes over the cap limit... and that's the deal that brought Brindy back to Atlanta.... so that trade should have been voided....
