with the thrashers team having evegny nabokov as their mario tag for next year the team didnt want to but it has dealt rod brindamour to the rangers in return the team get multiple multi year players.. the team got danius zubrus, jussi jokinen, patrick rissmiller, and stud prospect brian boyle.
the team is very excited about the potential of danius zubrus, in New jersey playing with patrick elias.   the team also like that jussi jokinen should have 20 goal seasons in his future.

brian boyle will be a stud player in LA aswell

Interesting deal for sure. Not quite sure why NYR is stocking up now after depleting his team, but this deal is the kind of deal Id expect to go down, just found it odd it was with NYR. I guess we have another guy to compete with this year.

Oh yeah, and you just gave up 1st place for the most 80 rated players... We both have 4, but ours outrate yours :D

Props to MTL for getting Igor Mirnov...that guy is discusting- PPG player in the superleague, which we all know translates pretty well to NHL stats. He's still young, so if he signs- look out.

montreal GOT RID OF mirnov for a whopping 3rd rounder AND hennessy???

atlanta gets igor and the wrong end of this deal

ouch

(montreal tried to trade igor to me and i panned him: odds are growing slimmer for him: he's a guy who's happy with his half a million plus salary in russia, just signing another contract there instead of an entry level two-way nhl/ahl contract.... another russian casualty of economics: good enough to make the nhl, not good enough to be financially persuaded to leave russia. as i told habs: he wouldnt be top-10 on my team's own russian prospect depth chart. not even worth a 3rd rounder imo).

atlanta gives up three (3) first rounders for schneider??????????

thrasher madness

(two puzzling trades by a usually savvy g.m.)

schneider will be a damn fine addition to our top 4 d-men poti/schneider/souray/chara is unrivaled in the brhl with staios, hejda, kronvall all on the roster aswell.

the team is also thrilled at the huge defensive addition the team got when adding jay pandalfo and his 82 df rating which will be needed now that UFA rod brindamour is gone

I think that Philly has the best top 4 in the league despite Kirks claim. Perhaps that debate belongs in another thread.

Schneider isn't that great of an asset in this league. 3 million is still not cheap- and with pronger and neidermeyer (likely coming back). He's not going to get the ice time he had in Detriot. All he will get is PP time. Sucks for the DF rating.

I think Schneider is sick. ATL pulled off a good deal.

you traded more to get schneider then you got back for him in this deal. If your looking to go for the cup why wouldn't you keep him?

tallinder is a stud d-man i moved him earlier in week for a huge return of fritsche +++,, i feel he is the 1a d-man in buffalo cambell offensively him defesively, he was injured this past season and when he puts together a healthy season i see him identical to mattius ohland/robyn regerh type d-men.. he is also 26 and cheap 1.6 mill and a rfa after his contract... schubert is a guy i have been after for awhile for his strong performance on off the record with that tsn butthumper.. hes a funny cat.

and schnieder is ufa next year and im tagging nabokov for two years. and i HATE losing players to UFA like my boy klowe in the nhl..
