Why I made this trade:

My team is underachieving, so I feel like I need some quality PA and PC dmen feeding my star forwards. Try to get some offense going.

Star Dmen like Kaberle are rarely available so I was interested when I heard Kaberle was on the market

Yes I gave up Plekanec who is on pace for 75pts in the NHL, but he was near the bottom of my depth chart...as I consider him to be my 8th best forward

Montoya will be a good goalie, but he is 3 seasons away from having decent ratings...so i still consider him a risk.

Im taking a chance on Deslauriers, maybe he can become a decent backup goalie for me

Overall, I think I have tremendously improved my offense by adding such a skilled Dman in Kaberle...his PA and PC will be huge for my team

but seriously, his 74ov will be a great upgrade for me...especially since Turco has been having CD problems lately.

Due to cap restrictions, I immediately had to flip Mikael tellqvist to NYR in order to avoid a CAP violation.

Thanks to NYR for agreeming to help me with some cap relief
