TOPIC: What sporting events do you watch each year??? what are some events you never miss, or what are some you just cant stand?
Hockey: Watch almost every Oilers game (attended 15 or so games last year). Olympic events. WJC. Around 30-40 NHL games on TSN, Sportsnet every year. (not involving oilers). As much playoffs as humanly possible.
Baseball: Watch almost every single Red Sox game (thank you mlb.tv!) Watch 90-120 Blue Jays games (on a record pace for more this year) Watch 10-20 Braves games on TBS (sometimes start earlier than most teams) Watch 20-40 Mariners games on FSN (usually the night cap) (attend a few too) Every single playoff game as humanly possible.
Basketball: Watch 40-50 Raptors games. Watch 5-10 Celtics games. (not last year, lol) Watch 10-20 other NBA games. Watch lots of college hoops too. (mostly gators and jayhawks)
Football: Watch every Bucs game. Watch every Chiefs game. Watch every saturday, thursday, monday, and sunday night game. Watch as much NFL network as humanly possible. Watch every NFL Replay. Flip channels as fast as humanly possible to watch precious seconds when bucs or chiefs games are on commercial. Watch every Gator game. Watch 5-10 other big SEC games. Watch 5-10 other "weaker conference" games. Watch most bowl games, and all the big bowls.
Now the purpose of this post: other sports. I wanna know how much other stuff you guys watch and read about. A perfect example is me and golf. For whatever reason, each year I watch the Masters, almost in its entirety, and watch the weekend of the US Open. However, the British and PGA majors I hardly ever get to see. Why? I dont know. Its a sport I never set out to watch, except if its on the tube and nothing else sports wise is on.... but every time I watch it, i like it.
Anyways here's the end of my list for now: Golf: Masters US Open sundays of other events.
Tennis: federer any time i can sharapova ditto every major, as much as is shown on TV.
Soccer: every minute of every international event that i can (sr. level) u-21 some times. Champions league, almost every match. EPL especially when chelsea is on. (15-25 times a year)
Lets see someone match that word count on a completely useless thread!

Pretty much every Habs game and as much football as humanly possible including every single Saints game. Every golf tournament Tiger Woods is in, every F1 race, Indy 500 and all other IRL races I'm home for, as much march madness basketball as humanly possible (plus some regular season games when I have nothing else to do and college football bowl games.
Hockey: Every Penguins game. And about 3-5 other games per week. Playoffs and such. Can't get any WJC in the states. 10 NCAA Games 10 AHL Games
Football: Nearly every Penn State game Filled in with the rest of Saturday watching College Football. And usually a SEC Game on Saturday Night, unless I'm out. As many bowl games as possible. Every Steelers game. Depends on the rest of the MNF and SNF. More of SNF since their games are typically better. Playoffs.
Basketball: Rarely during the season of NCAA. Maybe 5-10 total games. But then March Madness. 0 NBA (The lack of passion makes it too boring to watch).
Baseball: 10 games during the season. Some of the Playoffs. The WSFinals have been blowouts lately so the ALCS and NLCS seem to be the best to watch.
Golf: Any time it's worth watching.
Tennis: Any time it's worth watching. Mainly the U.S. Open + James Blake.
NASCAR: Occasionally. Mainly used as background TV.
Soccer: EPL: Roughly every West Ham United matches, whether it's online or on TV. 5-10 other EPL matches Almost every televised UEFA Champions League match. Most International matchups that are televised. All of the World Cup. All of the EURO Cup's.
Rugby: I try to catch portions of the 6 Nations Championships, as well as other matches.
MMA: Any UFC, Pride, WEC, King of the Cage, etc.
I think that's about it.

Impossible... Unless you don't work and have Tivo and watch TV 18 hours a day, I don't think you could watch that much... I mean, the Jays and Sox play at the same time usually, how can you watch all the Sox games and most 100+ Jays games.

because my job is operating oil wells, for which they pay me lots of money to watch TV, lol...
and I have TIVO
and i watch 20 hours not 18 hours....
most of the sox games are on at the same time as the jays.... i get all my sox action from mlb.tv
and the jays games on TSN and sportsnet
and actually sportsnet covers like 60 games of the sox on tv this year, so i watch it on the tv, then check out mlb.tv for other games (seattle is my 3rd choice)
basically on a good summer day i can check out the cubbies in the afternoon, then watch the sox game from the day before, then the jays in the evening and a nightcap of mariners....
