What happened to our lines / goalies?

hmmmm...  Dipietro started Game 5 for the Wild, he came away with the win.  We intended to keep the exact same lineup, including the same starting goalie.  Therefore we didnt send in new lines... but somehow Cloutier started?  Not sure what happened here, but I am not impressed!  Tough way to lose in the playoffs to say the least!
Since our team managed to only score one goal, it doesnt look like it would have made a difference, but who knows for sure...

Did anybody come back from an injury or suspension?

We have been expereincing problems with the league files as well and my counterpart has notified the commish about these problems.

That's weird. Too bad, I don't want to win a series based on a misfortune.

I sent in lines for Game 1 and didn't resend because I liked what I saw. What I sent was what as used for the whole series.

No injuries or suspensions.  So not sure what happened.  Even if that did happen, the sim tends to default to your best lineup, which would have been Dipietro starting at least.
No, I haven't heard anything from anyone....

You're absolutely right.

Now I am worried because we are facing a game 7 in a day.

Commish, any updates on this issue?

I really feel for ya Minny.. that was bad if that is a way to get eliminated. but i have another question.. and this comes up alot. and its a lines issue. and this has to be rectified.. cause its not within the league rules.. there were many many games this season.. where teams dressed 20 players.. but 19 of them were dman and forwards. and only 1 goalie.... for instance tonites games with florida and boston. there were 19 florida forwards playing and only 1 goalie.. a game like this could kill boston in the 7th game cause of this extra skater or its a lineup error for florida not having his proper lines. its happened alot. take a look at previous playoff games so far...

I have noticed that too.

Florida earlier in the series with Boston, double shifted TWO forwards.

I dunno if that is simply a problem with auto'd lines

But in the playoffs double checking needs to be done to ensure that only 18 skaters are played, and only one forward double shifted, as per the rules.

Nobody's perfect, but let's hope this is a lesson to be more vigilant!

Being semi familiar with the program, I have seen the program plug players into weird situations, and it would be almost impossible to track every player of every game unless line submissions were mandatory every game, which we def don't want.

I meant mandatory for every game of the season. Definately unattainable.

Not only should Florida's lines not have had TWO double shifting forwards, but for that matter, there should not have even been ONE double shifted forward.  I've submitted lines for each and every game of the playoffs and in no games have I had any injured or fatigued forwards, and have not submitted lines with any double shifting let alone 2.

I don't know what game is being referred to, but if there was a game with double shifting, it means lines were auto'd hen they shouldn't have been.

Costly win for the Panthers

pf0250.jpgAfter setting up the eventual game winner in the 6-3 contest tonight to tie the series with Boston, Florida's top-rated workhorse defenseman Kimmo Timonen went down with a foot injury that will likely keep him out of the next game. The fast, puck-handling double-shifting rearguard has four points in four games and puts pressure on the Panthers to adapt heading into game five on Monday if he won't be ready. The Panthers will have to call-up inexperienced Tollefs or Weaver, or else step away from the 7-blueliner 19-8459670.jpgskater strategy they have been using. The seventh d-man, penalty killing McKee, took third star honors with two assists in ten minutes of work, setting up two of the three goals scored by the Panthers fourth liners, two by Maltby and the game-winner by Green. An insurance goal by Tkachuk chased Fleury from the Bruins net for the second time in the series. Samsonov and Lupul continued to play well for Boston in leading their team in playoff scoring with goals tonight and Pronger registered his first playoff point with an assist. Bruins Hossa hasn't scored since the game one loss despite being double shifted and veteran leader Lemieux has just one assist.

I suspected not many people read the stories I write. hmm I analyse a lot in making the stories, and even look at the playoff lines

What are you talking about... The Panthers had Sanford dressed as backup.

I'm not sure I see what point you're trying to make.  When Timonen got hurt, the defence lines were adjusted... But there weren't any double shifted forwards (or there weren't in the lines i sent in anyway)
