5 of the 10 candidates for the Hobey Baker trophy as most outstanding NCAA player of the year have been drafted by g.m.s in the BRHL2.

T. J. Hensick, centre(New Jersey)
David Brown, goalie(New Jersey)
Scott Parse, left wing(Nashville)
Drew Bagnall, defense(Montreal)
Bobby Goepfert, goalie(Florida)

Hobey Baker winner was Ryan Duncan.. of probably the most feared line in NCAA for the U of North Dakota...
who could stop a line that included Toews and Oshie... but it was Duncan 2007 Hobey Baker winner...
