There has never - ever - been a sim on a Saturday night in this league. 

But there was a sim Friday night as per usual, and there will be one Sunday night as usual.

I think it's more the no sim on Thursday that he's confused about and it's because it was the trade deadline.

Maybe because he didn't play the night after the trade deadline he didn't check the site and thought his game should be simmed by now.
I think it's a little more likely than noticing Eric doesn't sim on Saturday's four months into the season.
