LOL the story of his career? Gomez has probably been one of the best ppg players since the 03-04 all star game. He finished that year off with an insane run after the all star game where he was the guy who scored the most points in the entire NHL after the all star game. Then last year he had an unreal year and this year hes followed it up quite nicely. Thats like the last 150 games hes played the guy has gotten like 180 pts in. One fluke year? Hmmmm.

If you read my post I said his goal totals were a fluke.  The last 129 games he has 126 points.. good totals yes.. I never said he was not a good player but he is not as good as you are trying to make him out to be.  His last two years have been far from unreal..

I also prefer Legwand to Gomez.  He is a much more complete player.  Gomez is a poor man's Adam Oates.
I also disagree on Franson.  I think franson will be a great offensive dman.  In all my time watching WHL hockey,  I have seen few dmen that have the offensive vision this guy has on the ice.  I agree he does need to improve his defensive play a bit, but he is a big man and not afraid of contact, so he will get there.
Overall, I think good deal for LA.
