Bell may be underachieving with 11 pts this season to date but the 25 year old has 60+ hits already to be an effective role player who could rebound offensively.
Time to get rid of those UFA.

Toronto continues to clean house. Okay, I'm with you on this one: You gave a neighbour that piece of furniture you're not happy with. Now apply the Mr. Clean and do away with that dirt!
Am I a genius or not, I had Mark Bell whom I traded for Darcy Tucker, then traded tucker for Alex Tanguay and now Bell goes for Kobasew and Schultz. Go me!
a better passer (9 assists in 29 games vs. 6 assists in 51 games) a better blocker (a whopping 112 shots blocked in 29 games vs. 78 blocks in 51 games) a bit bigger workhorse (22+ minutes vs. 20 minutes...) a bit more PK time (both are tops on their team though) a longer contract (3 years at 1.8 vs. a RFA)
What Toronto gets is a much younger blueliner who has the potential to improve and who will have a better durability rating because unlike Sutton he wasn't injured for part of the season.
Bell is probably one of the biggest disappointments in the NHL this year. I drafted him pretty early thinking that he would easily pot 30-35 goals next to Thornton. What Tampa fails to mention is that he dealt J.P. Dumont for Mark Bell before smartly dealing him for Tucker.

If I recall, Tucker wasn't straight up... Can't find proof of that.
To TampaBay: Darcy Tucker, Tor 2007 Rnd 6, Tor 2007 Rnd 7 To Toronto: Mark Bell, NYI 2007 Rnd 2, TB 2008 Rnd 3
That's really not much I had to add.
All depends what I get with the picks. As of right now I've dealt Tucker, 6 and 7 for Kobasew, Schultz (young nhl defenseman, former 1st rd pick), 2nd and 3rd rd pick.
Looking at it that way, doesn't look bad... Kobasew is 24 and has 1 20 goal season under his belt.
