Canes Apologize: Hey for all those that I got their hopes up the past week in trades I am sorry, as I have told some and by my article that will come out (all in good fun) I am looking to add now instead of send out. When I drafted this team and put it together I had full intentions of trading off three guys at the deadline to continue to build for season 2 that was my main goal, have a strong team year two at best and by year 3 be on top. If that meant dropping 50 bucks this season and getting it back down the road then fine I could live with that. Also I will be the first to admit I was not fully aware of all of the payout options at the end of the season, I never really looked them over in detail and did the math. Does that mean I am a bad GM, maybe, does that mean I am a dumb ass for not protecting my investment, hell yes. At the start of this league I had a lot going on in my personal life and never really got too deep into the rules, it is kicking my but now. I will be fine though I have brought on an AGM who will be helping out in some areas, but I will still run the team. I do need to thanks the GM that wrote the nice front-page article. At first I was like who is this dirt ball telling me how to run my team, then I understood it was all in good fun no big deal. If we can’t take lighthearted shots at each other then some guys are too uptight. After reading it for a third time one line struck me like a brick right in the middle of my head,
“If Knuble is dealt, hopefully it costs Jason Spezza the scoring crown, and the team a chance at getting back a nice chunk of their entry fee.”

 

This led me to do some long over do research and number crunching. For that I am thankfull because there would have been deals made, if not last night then for sure today. That is the reason for my actions over the past few days, and the truth. Take your shots and poke your fun no problem I deserve it. Thanks again to the writer of that story and that one liner!!!
