Heading to Denver is emerging NHL goalie Peter Budaj and veteran blueliner Rivet.
Going to Long Island is 27-year-old defenseman Joe Corvo and a trio of prospects: 1st round goalie Devan Dubnyk and well-performing overaged WHL centres Kyle Bailey and Ryan Russell.
Russell has 37 pts in 29 games for Kootenay ice this season and the pivot plays a respected defensive game that is only hampered by his small size (5'10). Bailey has 10 pts in 9 games for the Lethbridge Hurricanes since being traded from the Portland Winterhawks where the 6'2 passer was on pace for another 50+ point 100+ PIM season. Dubnyk is done his junior days with the Kamloops Blazers (my home town) and is in the ECHL - hopefully just to get the ice time - with a 11-2 record and .922 %.
