Interesting deal. I think Philly pretty clearly got the two best players in Smyth and Luongo, and IMO that gives him a resounding win. I'm not sold on Fernandez as a bonafide starter, and while I don't buy into all the Luongo hype, he's still a top 10 goalie, easily.
Smyth is awesome, and Philly should be able to keep him for two more seasons after this one. Svatos I see as a decent second liner, who is injury prone (in the sim too!) and inconsistent.
Preissing is a good dman, and a bargain at that salary, but I don't think he, Holmstrom, and two 3rd round picks come that close to making up the difference.
I'm going to assume Pittsburgh is close to calling it quits for the year, which will probably put Demitra on the block...to be continued...
