Two of the best defensive dmen in the league. I'm looking for a good 3rd line RW/LW, UFAs are welcome.

Add Brendan Witt to this list...RFA, good now, in for a big rerate
Man this league is boring sometimes, 1 offer for Stoll, zero offers for any dmen so far. And I've shown before to be easy to deal with and have been taken advantage of at least a few times.

The league is boring just because nobody wants your guys? Just because you put them out there, doesn't mean people will want them. And if people aren't coming to you with offers, go make some yourself.
Plus I'm sure many teams are just happy with their teams as they are. I realize it seems like there's some GMs want to make trades just for the sake of making trades, but there's also a lot that aren't interested in doing that.
There are a bazillion teams that could use defensive upgrades. Why wouldn't you look to improve your team, I'm certainly not happy unless my team is in 1st. And even then there's room for improvement.
And ya, the league is boring when I post "Jarrett Stoll available for picks and prospects" and I get one inquiry. If I saw that on the trade board I would be all over it, thinking maybe I can get a bonafide top six forward for a couple of prospects.
I find the league generally very boring when it comes to trade talks, I doubt there are many people that would argue with me about that.
Regardless if people are happy with their teams, the kinks will come out sooner or later. An offense that is very mediocre on paper isn't going to keep scoring near the top of the league, and certainly isn't cup contender worthy. That's why I'm surprised in particular that you weren't asking after Stoll.

Skrastins is UFA after this year, which takes a tonne of teams out of having interest in him right there. His $1.425 million (around $800k still to be paid, plus the full amount towards the cap) is another. Eaton doesn't have either of those issues, but both of them have characteristics of PA and PC in the 50s. I certainly can't speak for anybody else, but I certainly don't think that just because someone's got a higher DF, doesn't make them a superior dman... I'd much rather have someone with a little lower DF and have them be much more balanced. That's not to say that purely defensive dmen don't have their place, but when we're talking about 78 or 79 DF vs 75, or hell even 72 DF (but more balanced), they're just not that valuable. Good for some PK and 2nd/3rd pairing dmen. The same that I don't give a lot of value in FHLs to purely offensive dmen either. But I'm sure you knew all that which is why you're trying to move them.

And so did you go out shopping him around making offers to other teams? You're the one that wants to move the player, you can't expect people to come running to you just because you toss a name out there. That doesn't make the league boring.

Yes, but you also thought that it was desperately necessary to have weekly GM meetings, and if I remember correctly (which I might not be), you wanted them mandatory. Compared to me, and I'm guessing many others, you seem to want to put in much much more time into the league. And there's nothing wrong with that if you have the time, and want to do that. But it's not "boring" if other people don't have the time for that, don't want to do that, or simply aren't interested in what you're offering up.

And yet you didn't e-mail or ICQ me to see to make an offer? Fortunately, there's more to offence and scoring goals than having a tonne of guys with high SC. Which is why I'm not particularly worried about my team's scoring at the moment. That's not to say that the Panther's have no holes, as we certainly do, and I know what those areas are what I need to focus on. Stoll wouldn't have helped. But I'm certainly glad to know your opinion and that you don't consider the Panthers to be cup contenders. I can only hope to learn from you this season as you win the cup so that I can try to be a better GM next year and ice a more competitive team.
Man for someone who doesn't have a lot of time for the league you sure wasted a lot of time on that reply...
When I do win the cup I sincerely hope that the other GMs will take a page out of my book for the following seasons and realize that complacency doesn't win cups.
