San Jose, CA - The New Jersey Devils debuted several new faces tonight and the results were encouraging as they ran over the hometown Sharks 6-1. Peter Forsberg might have answered some questions as to how he would respond to the added pressure of pivoting the Devils after the recent dealing of Doug Weight by tallying a goal and two assists. The newest Devil Slava Kozlov, contributed a pair of helpers while Scott Niedermayer and recently reacquired former Devil Steve Reinprecht both found the score sheet notching an assist apiece. The most interesting debut might have been defensive special Greg Johnson who appeared to take on more of a special teams coaching role. His impact was impressive! His insight from the bench led the Devils to successfully kill all four San Jose powerplay opportunities and inspired the Devils to go a very impressive FIVE of FOUR with the man advantage!
