The Bruins took the ice for an optional skate this morning, everyone showed up, although not everyone skated. The only person who did not come to the arena was goaltender MA Fleury.
Not huge news except for the fact that David Leneveau was on the ice taking shots along with Ilya Bryzgalov. When coach Bob Hartley was asked who was in net tonight, he said our two goaltenders for tonights game are on the ice right now.
It appears that Bryzgalov will start in Ottawa with LeNeveau backing him up. Neither GM Bryce Shuck nor Assistant GM Matt Chinnick was at the skate, prompting rampant speculation that MA Fleury may be on his way out of Boston. This despite his strong effort last night.
We will keep you updated on this story if anything develops.
After sniffing around the seen, scouts from 3 western teams were at the Bruins game in Detroit last night, and have been following the Bruins of late. Scouts from the Flames, Blackhawks and Sharks were all seen in Detroit, possibly scouting Fluery.
It's speculated that the Bruins are after top end center, is Drury finally leaving Calgary?
