Well gentlemen, we're about 1/3 through the inaugural season of the BRHL2, and for the most part I think everything has gone relatively well. I hope you're satisfied with the product, and are enjoying building your teams.
We've had some big trades, and a few issues along the way, which we knew there would be. At this point we're getting familiar with the new faces and seeing what has worked and what doesn't. With the minors just around the corner, it will be another feature to the league that we think will help add realism and another avenue for GMs to focus their creativity.
Overall, we're extremely pleased with the way things have gone, and the direction they are going, however, their is one area of major concern.
The overall lack of respect and whining on the boards is intolerable. Perhaps Eric and I are to blame for not snuffing it out sooner, but it has gotten ridiculous. I have had many GM's ask me why there is not being something done about it, and even a few outsiders say that it is not reflecting well on the league.
While their is a fine line to "censoring" things, and allowing for full disclosure, this ends NOW. You all have paid your money, and have been dedicated GMs, but in the future I will be handing out fines for inappropriate behaviour on the messageboard. So lets set some hard and fast rules.
1) Their is no slandering of another's trade block, even if I post that Doug Doull is available for a Hossa type player. (Although if you posted that I would likely fine you as well).
2) If something happens that is in commish control, for example the day Eric messed up loading lines, do not release a press statement ripping us or anyone, simply post a question (see it's still full disclosure so everyone can see). "Eric, why didn't you use my lines tonight? I was hoping to rest Fleury and now he's even more fatigued than before." That's going to get an immediate direct response. In the situation I'm quoting there was nothing wrong with the way it was posted, but it ballooned into a whole nother round of complaining which gets tiresome.
3) If someone has questions and is continuing asking for clarification, thats great, Eric or I will get to it and answer it, DO NOT throw in your pot shot about how it doesn't matter. Again, a fine.
4) Basically anything that is posted to be malicious, or excessive. Including ripping the trade offers you're getting. We all get bad offers, deal with it and state why you'd rather go in another direction.
I would hope at this point, your answers about the integrity and legitimacy of the league and of the commissioners has been answered positively. If not we will continue to try and earn your respect and trust.
We have a great league, by addressing this now I hope it gets rid of this problem and we can continue to develop this league into a top flight league. Any fines handed out as per this policy will be noted on the messageboard (again full disclosure).
I hope you all understand that this is in the best interests of the league, I will post this on the board and this goes into effect immediately.
Well done. I for one (Aaron) am guilty of some maliciousness on the boards of recent and am very pleased to see guidelines put in place. Once again BRHL proves to be a premium class league led by premium commissioners.

OK, you're doing a spectacular job on the cover stories, and more GMs are welcome to submit their own tidbits (I'm sure you've seen a few articles from Bruins camp lately.).
