If you have anyone on your prospect list that played in the ECHL, AHL, or NHL during the 05-06 campaign and would like him created with ratings (much advised) so he can play in the minors (and pro's should you wish) please send me an email to bnshuck@yahoo.com with a link to his hockeydb.com profile. DEADLINE FOR THIS IS MONDAY NOVEMBER 20TH. Very few teams have full minor league rosters as is, and with cash wawarded for the minors, is something you may want to look into.
If you do not have guys signed, they will be signed with default ratings (except PA, SC, PC and DF where they will have a 40 for a rating). Also other prospects of yours who did not play pro in North America will be created with the same ratings. It is HIGHLY beneficial to sign your guys to play in the minors.
If we create your prospects with the default ratings, and you STILL don't have a full farm team, players will be created as (Team Center3) or something like that with 25 ratings across the board.
I will have final rosters and the schedule up by Wednesday the 22nd, and games will begin on the 23rd, a simming schedule will be announced.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MINORS, PLEASE POST HERE !!!
Quick update, Ive received offers from NYI, Florida, TB, and CHicago since my last post. I won't get to them tonight (going to the OIler game) so if you get them in by Wednesday afternoon, they will be put in. Everything will be up Wednesday night.
I take it there isnt going to be much grace on this deadline? I missed this thread until today but would like to sign some guys as long as it doesnt go towards there rookie 3 year deal. Does it? Like would I have to sign a guy like Osullivan to a 3 year deal and this would be year 1 of his deal? Otherwise Id rather next year be year 1 of his deal.
this would count as their year 1 of their 3 year entry contract, although with him having much poorer ratings because its based on his 05-06 seaosn, his entry level deal would likely be at a very low salary.
Like I said, I won't get to them tonight, if you send em in by tomorrow I will get to them. I would STRONGLY advise creating guys now, because it does come at the lower salary, and especially a team like your's could compete for the minors title.
i sent my email to you on the weekend. but you did not mention on the message board here that you received nashville's entry level contracts.. can you tell me if you have received them and im all okay. if not ill resend them again.
Arent entry level contract always between 450,000-1,000,000 anyways? They are all "cheap" in a sense anyways, but also what kind of a rating would Osullivan get for the AHL team? Just curious.
Other than winning money though, does this benefit us? The only way you win money with this is to make the finals or have the MVP in the minors right? But isnt there some benefit to waiting to sign your players to contracts that are going to be real cheap for an extra year in the pros? Ie if I sign Osullivan yes he can play in the AHL, but I lose one year of him at like 1M/yr in the pros? Not sure if the advantage is there really to sign him?

Ya, that is what I'm thinking. Unless you have a real shot at winning then there's no point in signing a guy and losing one year of a good contract.

I think they should just be signed 1 year after their NHL team signs them. So a guy like Kessel should be signed right after the draft next year. Only with entry level contracts though.

Ya I agree, and I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in the rulebook. 60 NHL games and a must-sign or something.
