The Files should be updated around 5pm tonight before tonights games.
Also, a new Rule has been approved by the B.O.D. involving Roster Buyouts. An issue that doesn't seem big now, but when it comes to looking to sign UFAs and RFAs it has a potential show up (as it has in other leagues).
Buyouts would cost 50% of the salary for 1 year. If a player has a 2 year deal, add on 30% of the salary. 3 year deal, add on another 20% 4 years - 15% 5 years - 10%.
So a player with 3 years left, and a salary of $3,700,000. 3,700,000 x .5 = 1,850,000 3,700,000 x .3 = 1,110,000 3,700,000 x .2 = 740,000
1,850,000 + 1,110,000 + 740,000 = $3,700,000
Paying 3.7 mill to buy out a player is a lot. but it should be a lot considereing we want to stress smarter GM moves. I think I speak on behalf on some of us who are also in the BRHL1, that the buyouts need to be stiff otherwise GMs will take advantage of signing UFAs to big deals then buying them out the next year.
