big news out of atlanta the team has signed vetern d-man tom poti to a 4 year extension worth 3 million per season. the teams g.m kirk shuck had this to say about the deal..

 "we love toms overall game, 80 df 79 pc 73 pa 73 sp 72 sk, his strong durabilty and endurance make him one of the more rounded d-men in the league and we feel his signing in washington in the the nhl will continue to produces great things for our number one d-man"

according to eric, bryzgalov nearly signed but was traded before it was accepted... if you have any emails saying he was signed at that price, please forward them to me...
